Office Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Office Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Office Manager in managing the administrative aspects of the PACE program. This role includes handling patient-related administrative tasks, facilitating communication between staff, patients, and external partners, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The position requires fluency in both English and Korean to effectively manage communications and handle sensitive documentation. Experience in medical administration, particularly with EMR systems, is highly valued.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education/Training/Certifications
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is essential.
  • Nursing background or medical field experience is highly preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with EMR systems and strong computer skills in document management (Microsoft Office, Adobe).
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of effectively managing interactions with staff, patients, and external partners in both English and Korean.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare administrative procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize duties efficiently.
  • Proficiency in handling patient documentation and coordinating billing processes.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Mostly sedentary work; however, some physical activities such as filing are required.
  • Office setting with standard equipment and tasks. Noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
  • May require occasional use of personal vehicle for business-related travel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Office Manager in daily administrative operations within the PACE office.
  • Handle patient admissions, discharges, and documentation processes.
  • Facilitate communication among staff, patients, families, and external agencies.
  • Assist in managing insurance verification and billing tasks using EMR systems.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of participants and staff.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Pay Range
  • Starting at $24 per hour
  • Starting rate for inexperienced candidates is $21 per hour; adjustments made after three months.
  • Annual salary based on experience and qualifications; negotiable.
